The brief

On winning their bid to become a Tier 1 sponsor and the first sustainability partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the EDF Group was looking to completely review the way it interacted with it’s stakeholders online.  There was a 3 month window before the partnership was made public so time was tight.

What we did

We conducted a full usability review, interviewing internal and external stakeholders.
We combined this with rigorous user testing, before, during and after the user experience design to completely re-engineer the site structure and the customer journeys.

Once the user experience design was agreed, the interface design team and the copywriters worked together in parallel to meet the deadline.

The results

The new website revolutionised the way Energy companies interacted with their customers. User acceptance proved the site was intuitive, helpful, and that the target audience found it more user-friendly in every aspect. The site design was now befitting for a partner for the 2012 Olympic Games – so much so, they’re still using it today, 3 years on. home page
